Nap Time Blues

Nap time, every teachers favorite time of the day. We can get prep work done, hang up the art work and just take a minute to breath. But what happens when a child doesn’t want to sleep? It’s definitely an adventure. I dread the days when I have all the children asleep, mostly because I’m able to finish my prep work and lesson plans prior to nap time. I have two assistants, and am very lucky to have them! I have one child whom does not like nap time in my room, and honestly their the cutest little thing! They will always get up and refuse to lay down, but that gives me the one on one time with that child and I color with them and read to them. I wish I could do one on one with all the children in my class and I’m working on it! So far so good! If you want to know any tips or tricks for nap time or have any questions, comment down below! I’ll answer those for you!

Why I love My Job

I am one of those crazy people who loves their job, yes, I know what you're thinking. Why does she love her job? Who cares? Why do I care? Well, because its rewarding. I do not know who cares, but I care. You don't have to care, but you are reading this right now so you might care just a bit. I am a teacher. I work 8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday. I am responsible for teaching the future. These futures are only around two years old. I am a toddler two teacher. I deal with the crying, the hunger, the boo-boos, and the loud voices. I am the one who they look up to when they are in my care. I get all the crazy questions, which comes with all the crazy answers. I deal with the napping, and non-napping children. The cranky and the outgoing. They are all my favorites though. Each and every child. They bring new ideas and new questions to me every day. And for that, I love my job.

Play by Play

It’s me again, the awkward 23 year old.. I’m going to paint pottery today, I have no idea what to paint, does anyone ever know? My fiancé is at the shop and while I’m waiting to go I’m doing laundry, enough laundry for ten people that is. There is always so much and then you have to separate by colors then by whites them by darks, when does it end. There’s also the fact that your playing the matching game with the socks trying to match them up and yet somehow you always end up with an extra sock. Those darn socks.
